Thank you for your interest in hosting a panel at PopCult Anime Con 2024!
PCAC is a multi-genre convention, so we love having panels which cover a broad range of interests! Please feel free to apply with a panel or workshop about any popular culture or convention community topic.
Please note that PCAC Staff hosts many game shows including Family Feud, Jeopardy, Match Game, Cosplay Newlyweds, Whose Line, Dating Game, and more. We will also have an Idol Festival, hosted annually by Susume Paradise. Therefore, we cannot accept any duplicates/variations of these events. Please apply to perform in our Game Shows (tba) and/or Idol Festival if these topics are of interest to you!
Please read panel guidelines carefully before applying for a panel.
General Guidelines
- Panelists must pre-register for the convention if their panel is accepted & they confirm they will be able to present. Accepted panelists will be able to register at a discounted rate of $35.
- Please respect the panel space you are being provided. Panel rooms should be just as clean and orderly upon your leaving as they were when you came in. Please do not include messy materials such as glitter/confetti, etc. in your panel.
- Each panel will be given a block of 60 minutes. We will provide 15 minutes in between panels for set-up/break down. Please be respectful of your fellow panelists!
The Following Panel Types Will Not Be Accepted
- PopCult Anime Con staff believe in providing a positive and supportive fandom environment. As such, we will not approve any panels which mock or are negative towards other fans (i.e. bad fanfiction readings, unsolicited critiques of fan work, etc.)
- Duplicates of existing staff-run events including idol performances or game shows such as Family Feud, Jeopardy, Match Game, Cosplay Newlyweds, Whose Line, Dating Game, and Lip Sync contest.
Equipment
- Each panel room will be equipped with a large television and an HDMI cable. You must bring your own laptop/tablet if required and your own adapter if your device does not have an HDMI output.
- Please save any necessary files for your panel to your device. While there is WiFi available, it may not be consistent and should not be relied upon for panels.
18+ Panels
- If your panel contains R-rated language, sexual content, nudity, extreme violence, or obscene material which would be unsuitable for minors, it must be submitted as an 18+ panel.
- If an ALL AGES panel is found to have content which is NOT appropriate for all ages, PCAC Programming Staff reserves the right to end the panel immediately. Depending on the circumstance, the panelist may not be allowed to host panels at PCAC in the future.
Group-Run Panels
- If you are part of a group that is submitting a panel, please choose a panel leader who will act as the contact for the rest of the group. Your panel leader should be the one submitting their name & email on the panel application. Please list any other group members/your group name as you would like it listed in the schedule under the “Presentation Name” section of the form.
Panel Descriptions
- You will need to provide a Title & Description for your panel. Like a preview trailer for your panel, the description should entice people to attend and your title should be brief but catchy!
- Below is an example of a great panel description from one of our 2023 panels! It clearly tells the reader what the panel is about in an engaging way without being too wordy.
If You Like This… Then You May Like That! By Susume Paradise
Anime recommendations with a twist! Are you an old-school anime fan who can’t find any good modern anime? Or a fresh-faced anime fan who is overwhelmed with the amount of older anime to choose from? We’ll be comparing classics to new hits to help fans find a new anime to start watching!

- You will be contacted by staff in regards to your panel’s acceptance by July 15, 2024.
