Manga Library

✧༺♛ Hosted by Hopismyhero & Friends ♛༻✧

❀✿❀  Manga Library Hours  ❀✿❀

Saturday: 10am-9pm
Sunday: 10am-3pm

❀✿❀  Activities  ❀✿❀

Saturday
❀ 10am-9pm Open for Reading
Snuggle into one of our gigantic plushies and be amazed by PopCult Anime Con’s vast collection of manga and comics, over 1500 volumes! Our manga librarians are well-read enthusiasts, highly knowledgeable and always happy to make recommendations based on your personal taste.
✿ 10am-9pm Manga for Trade and Sale
When we receive donations, volumes that are unsuitable or are duplicates for our collection are put up for sale or for trade. These volumes are in a separate area from the main library collection and will be marked with a sticker on the spine. At the convention we will be selling volumes for $5 a piece, or you can trade volume for volume with a manga from your own collection. If trading or donating manga we ask that you only donate volumes in good condition. We appreciate all donations and use the money from these sales to purchase new series, shelving and seating for the library.|
❀ 2pm-4pm Cosplay and Lolita Tracing
The manga library will offer a session where several editions of the Japanese COS magazine and some Lolita pattern magazines will be available for pattern tracing. There will be some Pellon easy trace available for purchase at the manga library desk or you can bring your own preferred materials for tracing patterns. The library will still be open for reading manga during these sessions.

❀✿❀  Rules for 2024 ❀✿❀

❀ The Popcult Manga Library is a quiet space open to all. We ask that you keep any conversation to a low tone as this is a quiet room.
✿ Please only select one volume to read at a time. This way everyone has a chance to read popular series.
❀ All of the volumes in the library collection are not for sale and cannot be removed from the manga library room. They must be enjoyed while sitting in the room.
✿ The seating, blankets and cushions in the manga library are provided and cared for by the convention. We ask that you respect these soft surfaces and if you are wearing cosplays with full body makeup to please refrain from sitting on the plush chairs and cushions.

What Are People Saying About PopCult Anime Con?

One of my Favorite Cons!

December 1, 2024

This con has come such a long way from its early days, it’s so based in community and brining joy and uplifting to its attendees. Every staff member I interact with is always so helpful, the offerings of panels and events during the con is so accessible and fun. It’s basically everything you’d want from a small community con in a growing atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it more! Give it a try!

PopCult was the convention that made me love conventions!

December 1, 2024

I used to dislike conventions, but PopCult was my first anime convention back in 2022 (I went for a friends birthday), and the kind staff and fun events made me absolutely love conventions instead! The attendees are always so kind, and there’s always something fresh and exciting to do there each year! I plan to come back for many, many years!

Grace

one of my top fav cons!

January 12, 2025

This is the best convention for beginners! I started going in 2022 and will continue every year! The people and staff are always so sweet and like a huge family

Akira

An amazing convention with wonderful staff and friends

December 11, 2024

I personally love these smaller conventions, and with it being my first time at Popcult, it had such a great atmosphere to it. I was lucky enough to be the MC for the masquerade, and getting to work with the stage and tech staff was a great experience. The staff is great to be around, and it’s actually very easy to make friends at the con, and you will probably see them at other cons as well. Go for the entire weekend of a great end of summer convention!
