Artists Café and Themed Dances Update!

July 16, 2023

Boo to another rainy summer weekend in New England, right? Thought we’d bring you some sunshine and announce details for this year’s Themed Dances and Artists Café!

Be swept away to a world of music and wonder at this year’s themed dances, hosted by that lovable bard Rolind the Traveler! If you’re pre-registered for the con, be sure to check out the Friday Night Opening Ceremonies Dance. Step through the portal with Crown Prince Wacky into their homeland of living pool inflatables and kick off the con right with your favorite anime and gaming tunes. If you’re prone to early-onset post-con depression fight it off at the Saturday Night Pajama Party, an after midnight mini dance to play out the 18+ Dating Game in the Eden Vale Lobby. Finally, dress up (or down!) for the Closing Ceremonies Semiformal Ball featuring live piano music played by Local Legend Matt Myers!

Want to make a song request?
Send it to Rolind through his magic request portal now through August 1st.

If paper and pencil are closer to your chosen form of expression be sure to visit the Artists Café, hosted by OneLovelySin, original con artist and mascot designer for PopCult Anime Con! Open for pre-registered attendees Friday and all attendees Saturday & Sunday, this dedicated workshop will run all sorts of craft activities through the weekend including Sticker and Button making, Keychain creation, and the return of the Sticky Note doodle board! Come play with our art supplies or bring your own and meet like-minded creative souls from the PCAC Community!

What Are People Saying About PopCult Anime Con?

One of my Favorite Cons!

December 1, 2024

This con has come such a long way from its early days, it’s so based in community and brining joy and uplifting to its attendees. Every staff member I interact with is always so helpful, the offerings of panels and events during the con is so accessible and fun. It’s basically everything you’d want from a small community con in a growing atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it more! Give it a try!

PopCult was the convention that made me love conventions!

December 1, 2024

I used to dislike conventions, but PopCult was my first anime convention back in 2022 (I went for a friends birthday), and the kind staff and fun events made me absolutely love conventions instead! The attendees are always so kind, and there’s always something fresh and exciting to do there each year! I plan to come back for many, many years!

Grace

one of my top fav cons!

January 12, 2025

This is the best convention for beginners! I started going in 2022 and will continue every year! The people and staff are always so sweet and like a huge family

Akira

An amazing convention with wonderful staff and friends

December 11, 2024

I personally love these smaller conventions, and with it being my first time at Popcult, it had such a great atmosphere to it. I was lucky enough to be the MC for the masquerade, and getting to work with the stage and tech staff was a great experience. The staff is great to be around, and it’s actually very easy to make friends at the con, and you will probably see them at other cons as well. Go for the entire weekend of a great end of summer convention!
