telekineticManiac, aka MadDog, is a decorated cosplayer and official YouTube Partner. Specializing in unique mixed media costumes and educational video content, this former Boston fandom gathering host now shares creative experiences cosplayer know-how with their Elevate Your Cosplay panel series. Of course, it’s not PopCult Anime Con without Misa on Wheels.

Misa on Wheels is a disability advocate and cosplayer based out of New England. It was with Misa’s permission that we designed our mascot Summer in her image, with the promise that we would do our best to embody her cause at our convention. Her message, “Cosplay is for Everyone,” is powerful in its simplicity and challenges concepts like gatekeeping and body-shaming, both longstanding problems in fandom communities.
