Idol Festival 2025

Presented by Susume→Paradise

PLEASE READ ALL INFO BEFORE APPLYING!
Applications Open 6/1/25 thru 7/12/25

Susume→PARADISE will be hosting the final PCAC Idol Festival on Sunday, August 24th (time TBD) in Main Events. We include cosplay cover groups from all idol franchises! Our Idol Fest is similar to the Masquerade, but features only exhibition performances with no competition or judging. All participating performers must sign up ahead of time as there are a limited number of spots. In the case we fill up there will also be a wait list. Anyone of the age 16 and under must have a permission slip signed by their legal guardians to participate. Please be sure to bring a signed copy to the event. All performers and audience attending must have a PopCult badge for at least the day of the festival.

We will be requiring videos with your application. Video must be of your members dancing to your chosen song. The video does not need to be in cosplay & you may edit multiple videos together to include all group members.

Time Limits:
1-2 People – 2 Minutes
3-4 People – 3 Minutes
5+ People – No Specific Time Limit (5 Minutes Recommended)

The application will include an option to submit a back-up song in the case your first choice is not available.

This is not a craftsmanship contest. Cosplay is required but casual cosplay is perfectly fine. Groups do not need to match. You can buy or make your cosplay. There will be no judgment on it whatsoever. Performers are welcome to apply with multiple groups however we ask for no major costume changes during the event due the complications it can create.

By applying, all Idol Festival participants agree to let PopCult Anime Con use their images for promotional purposes, both photographs and videos.

Feel free to message Susume→PARADISE with any questions via Instagram or email: susumeparadise@gmail.com.

What Are People Saying About PopCult Anime Con?

One of my Favorite Cons!

December 1, 2024

This con has come such a long way from its early days, it’s so based in community and brining joy and uplifting to its attendees. Every staff member I interact with is always so helpful, the offerings of panels and events during the con is so accessible and fun. It’s basically everything you’d want from a small community con in a growing atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it more! Give it a try!

PopCult was the convention that made me love conventions!

December 1, 2024

I used to dislike conventions, but PopCult was my first anime convention back in 2022 (I went for a friends birthday), and the kind staff and fun events made me absolutely love conventions instead! The attendees are always so kind, and there’s always something fresh and exciting to do there each year! I plan to come back for many, many years!

Grace

one of my top fav cons!

January 12, 2025

This is the best convention for beginners! I started going in 2022 and will continue every year! The people and staff are always so sweet and like a huge family

Akira

An amazing convention with wonderful staff and friends

December 11, 2024

I personally love these smaller conventions, and with it being my first time at Popcult, it had such a great atmosphere to it. I was lucky enough to be the MC for the masquerade, and getting to work with the stage and tech staff was a great experience. The staff is great to be around, and it’s actually very easy to make friends at the con, and you will probably see them at other cons as well. Go for the entire weekend of a great end of summer convention!
